Halloween is just two days away :-) i'm getting excited since we actually have a costume party to attend this weekend, we haven't dressed up for halloween in ten years! lol! the last time we did the halloween thing Gary dumped a whole HUGE box (with a sign that said "take one") of 100 Grand candy bars in mine & Tonya's trick or treat bags, lol! like i said it was ten years ago so i think we have grown up since then, hopefully we will stay out of trouble this year :-) anyways, Gary & I are gonna be pirates, Osker is gonna be a army boy & Bella is gonna be a princess... i'll post pics after the weekend.
IDK if i blogged about this or not but i finished my granny's scarf & sent it to her... she LOVES it! yay! i am about to start knitting my very first long sleeved item for a person, it's a zip up hoodie from the DomiKNITrix book called *L'il Red Riding Hoodie* i love bamboo yarns so i'm gonna knit it using Bernat Bamboo yarn in Corn with Water (or Dill) stripes.... or if i decide to make it one solid color i'm gonna use either Dill or Wicker... i haven't really decided on the color(s) yet. i already have 4 or 5 balls of the Corn so i would love to pick a cute color to go with it but i'm not sure yet, i don't want it to look like baby clothes. I also want to make two of the Jughead hat's from that book. i have the yarn for that thank god! i need a brown hat & some cool brown mitts... maybe i will knit those 3 things while i figure out the colors for my hoodie =]
it's turning cold where we live & my dogs need warm clothes. i need to get my ass to the cloth store to buy some micro fleece so i can attempt to sew some suits for them. it would be so much cheaper to make those instead of buying them! they run about $60 - $70 for each suit! pretty crazy huh?
